Romax to participate in Wind Innovation Conference

Romax Technology is one of six successful companies who received a two year UK Government funded project from The Regional Growth Fund (RGF) earlier this year, a fund that looks to protect and increase jobs in high technology areas through the development of wind energy related projects.

Romax and the project partners will be showcasing their work at a forthcoming Wind Innovation Conference, facilitated by Narec, that will be held on 28th November at the Discovery Museum (The Great Hall), Newcastle upon Tyne.

The day will be open to all to listen to a range of presentations about the projects so far, within exhibiting, poster presentation areas with meeting and networking opportunities.

Romax was awarded a share of £5.8 million RGF funding to work with the University of Sheffield to deliver projects that aim to accelerate technological R&D and develop them into further commercial offerings. Romax and the University of Sheffield Electrical Machines and Drives Group have established a technical R&D centre to focus on the development of Romax's mechanical and electrical machine capability across many sectors but primarily in the wind industry. The centre will focus on the development of tools such as the company's flagship product, RomaxDESIGNER, for wind, and new products, CAD FUSION, Dynamic FUSION and CONCEPT that offer further design, development, optimisation and analysis of drivetrains.
