Why do we need gear standards? Keynote speech confirmed for Romax European Summit 2013

Romax has confirmed that Rob Frazer, a senior engineer from the Design Unit at Newcastle University is to be the keynote presenter at the annual Romax Technology European Summit, taking place on 15th and 16th October at the Darmstadtium Conference Centre in Darmstadt, Germany.

The European Summit is Romax's largest event of the year and covers a wide range of topics for all levels of user across all product and industry areas, as well as offering a unique insight into Romax customers' solutions and experiences.

The theme for this year's summit will focus on accelerating driveline design and development, whilst increasing quality and standards.

Mark Cappell, CEO of Simulation Technology at Romax commented: "We are thrilled to confirm Rob Frazer as the keynote speaker and feel his presentation will perfectly set the scene for the rest of the show. Over the course of the two days we will address a variety areas including writing and revising standards, where do ISO standards come from, as well as the benefits of using and applying the latest revision of gear related ISO standards and specifically, how it will affect gear stress analysis methods and influence gear performance."

Cappell continued: "It will also prove a fantastic opportunity to showcase our product line including our range of applications as well as how are customers are using Romax products within their production environments in order to shorten the development cycle, reduce cost, improve efficiency and drive up quality."

In addition to Newcastle University there will also be presentations from a host of other organisation including Volkswagen AG, Robert Bosch GmbH, CETIM, GKN Driveline AB, NBI Bearings and Honda R&D Japan who will all be talking about how they are using Romax products to optimise their design and development process.
